Clare is a two-time survivor of stage 3 inflammatory breast cancer and lives with stage 4 metastatic inflammatory breast cancer. She has advocated for increased awareness of this rare and aggressive form of cancer since her initial diagnosis in 2017. There is no cure for her breast cancer, and she will be in treatment for the rest of her life. As a volunteer with ACS CAN, Clare supports the funding of lifesaving research. Every October, she finds great joy in participating in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk. Throughout Clare’s journey with cancer, advances in research have continued and as a result, allowed her to continue to live a relatively normal life. Clare’s advocacy work is a testament to her resilience, and dedication to empowering other cancer patients and survivors.
Research funding has saved my life and the lives of so many others. We need to continue funding cancer research so there are more options for all of us.
