Wyoming native Brandon was just a teenager when he noticed a strange lump on his foot that was eventually diagnosed as embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma – a type of soft tissue cancer that typically affects children and adolescents.

Brandon’s treatment involved a preliminary clinical trial that eventually became the standard of care for his type of care. Following extensive surgery and chemotherapy, Brandon has been cancer-free for the last fifteen years.

My life was saved because I had access to the best health care and advances in cancer research.

His experience created a passion for advocacy for access to health care and funding for cancer research. Today, Brandon is a career prosecutor in his hometown of Casper, and when he is not fighting crime, he is advocating for change in our health care system.
