As a survivor of acute myeloid leukemia, Anthony recognizes the value of the cancer research being conducted in Washington State. It makes him grateful to know that his neighbors care about the health of themselves and those in their communities.
Research funding not only advances science, it also strengthens the fabric of the region, both socially and economically.
The innovations developed there are integral to all those seeking cancer treatment and recovery, and they continue to shape how care is delivered across the country. Anthony is particularly encouraged by Washington’s focus on prevention through health equity, especially in rural and Indigenous communities, that are too often overlooked.
